English:

In 1911, when George F. Frye opened his eleven-story Frye Hotel near Pioneer Square, it was considered Seattle’s finest. The lobby with its reception desk, souvenir stand and oriental rugs provided an elegant space for visitors to the city. This image shows the lobby in the summer of 1926.
