Description
Deutsch: Infotafel an der Lochmühle (Oberwartha), Inschrift:

Die Lochmühle wurde bereits um 1400 als Mahlmühle erwähnt.

Um 1840 erhielt sie ein Sägegatter, wurde 1875 umfassend saniert und bekam Schankrecht. 1898 wurde bereits für die Gaststätte Lochmühle-Waldfrieden mit über der Straße gelegener Gartenterrasse und Saal geworben, ab 1900 waren Übernachtungen möglich. 1929 wurde das Mühlrad stillgelegt und verfiel, der Mühlteil trocknete aus. Der Gastbetrieb lief weiter. Zu DDR-Zeiten war die Lochmühle u.a. Ferienheim der Deutschen Reichsbahn. Heute dient das Gebäudeensemble nach grundhafter Sanierung ausschließlich privaten Wohnzwecken.
