Summary

edit
Description
English: Locust Borer - Megacyllene robiniae, Julie Metz Wetlands, Woodbridge, Virginia. The butt is unobtrusive, but is a gorgeous shade of yellow. The Locust Borer, a destructive pest of the Black Locust tree, can rest in the open because it is a Paper Wasp mimic, and birds therefore leave it alone.
