Description
日本語: 花蓮港木材會社。事業地から切出された木材は，索道に依り軌道によってに平林驛に搬出せられるのである。圖はその狀況であって，これ等の臺車の木材は起重機により平林驛で積み込まれ，官設鐵道で花蓮港にある該會社の製材工廠に送られ，一部は丸太の儘東京にある木材工廠に船送されるものである。因に中央山脈の東面諸溪流域は，千古斧を加へざる森林に富み，針葉樹のみで二千四百萬石を包藏すると云ははれて居る。（青木繁，臺北帝國大學農林專門部助教授）
