Description
English:  : Merzse Marsh NE entrance. The Merzse Marsh is one of the few wetlwnd habitats in the capital with undisturbed water and uliginal vegettation and an adjoining bog field. The open water surface of the marsh offers nesting sites for water fowl. The marsh has dried up in several occasions in the 1990s years. Now, wells have been drilled to ensure the adequete water supply and attemps have been made to conserve the accustomed conditions for wildlife by a system of ditches of several kilometers long. Visiting is restricted in order to preserve the ecosystem of the marsh. Under protection of the Budapest Municipality since 1977. Get in: train from Keleti pályaudvar (Keleti railway station) and take off at Rákoskert station and walk to south about half km. Source: Budapest's Protected Natural Heritage. According to the article 67 Paragraph (3) the author’s name has to be indicated on a view if this is intended to present a specific fine art, architectural, applied art or industrial design creation or engineering structure. The author’s name has likewise to be indicated if such creations are used for presentation in scientific and educational lectures as well as for school education purposes (Article 33, Paragraph (4)).
