This spear tip was found in a west-east oriented, inexpertly excavated man's grave. It is one of the most richly endowed Lombard graves in Italy. A shield boss and sword could not be exhibited due to the fragility of the artifacts.

  • Photographed while on display from 22 August 2008 to 11 January 2009 in the exhibition "Die Langobarden. Das Ende der Völkerwanderung" at the Rheinisches LandesMuseum Bonn. On loan from the Museo nazionale dell'Alto Medioevo, Rome.

Die Speerspitze wurde in einem west-ost orientierten, unsachgemäß geborgenen Männergrab gefunden. Es handelt sich um eines der reichsten langobardischen Gräber Italiens. Schildbuckel und Schwert können aufgrund der Fragilität der Objekte nicht ausgestellt werden.
