Summary

edit
Description The Banqueting House is on Whitehall in London. It is the only major part of the Palace of Whitehall that survived the fires of 1891 and 1698. It was designed by Inigo Jones in 1619 and completed in 1622. The Palace of Whitehall was mainly built for King Henry VIII (reigned 1509-1547). It was the main royal residence in London from 1530 until the fire of 1698.
