Summary edit

Description
English: Looking north on Pitcot Lane Not sure where the name Pitcot came from but would bet it had something to do with coal. What I do know is that Radstock (to the north) got its name from the red soil of the area, as illustrated here. During heavy rain loose soil from the fields is washed north into the Wellow Brook then on to the River Avon. It is sometimes detectable as far away as Bath.
