Description	A view looking southeastward from the spire of St. Paul's Episcopal Cathedral, Buffalo, New York, 1870. The churches in the background are Washington Street Baptist (left) and St. John's Episcopal (right), with Swan Street running between them. Both have since been demolished. Nowadays Sahlen Field stands on the site of the latter church. The block of buildings in the foreground was demolished in 1894 to make way for the Ellicott Square Building.
