English: Churchyard is the final resting place of Lord Elgin.There is a well tended old graveyard on these grassy slopes set amidst a scenic location covered by Deodar trees.The McLeodganj town could be seen in behind it.

Located in the forest between the Mcleodganj and Dharamsala town is the Saint John in the Wilderness.This Anglican Church is dedicated to Lord Elgin,who served as Governor General of the Province of Canada. He became Governor-General & Viceroy of India in 1861 during the British Raj, and died at Dharamshala in 1863,he was buried here.
