Description Lot-11177-10: Middle East in WWI. “The Disaster at Dibai (Dubai)”. The surrendered rifles on the quarter deck of Royal Navy protected cruiser of the Astraea-class, HMS Fox, May 1914. Note, as per her history she was in the East Indies during this year. Fox served in the Red Sea during 1915-17. She was scrapped in 1920. George Grantham Bain Collection.
