Description Lot 11588-34: North African Campaign. South African Bostons Make 63 Sorties in 19 Hours during Battle of Egypt. In a period of nineteen hours, two squadrons of South African Boston Bombers (also known as Douglas A-20 Havoc) carried out sixty-two sorties. The ground staff bombed up thirteen aircraft in one hour and during heavy attacks on the enemy not a single bomber was lost. Office of War Information Photograph. (2016/02/11).
