Description Lot 8936-24: USS Maine (ACR 1), raising her wreck in Havana Harbor, Cuba, July 7, 1911. Shown: bow and amidships wreckage. Maine exploded on February 15, 1898, and was one of the causes for the United States to enter war with Spain, Spanish-American War, April-August 1898. Transfer from the War Department, Washington. (10/2/2015).
