English: As proclaimed by the huge sign, this is Central garage of Lothian Buses. The red bus outside the building is a demonstrator, a pre-delivery hydbrid London bus - see File:Arriva London hybrid bus Volvo B5L Wrightbus, Edinburgh, 25 January 2010.jpg for full details. The gold and red squares logo and bold red typeface dates back to the relaunch of the company's livery and branding in 1999 with the introduction of low-floor buses. By this time, its days were numbered - a couple of months after this shot, the company had announced it would be returning to the traditional madder & white colours, albeit updated, with a modernised 'Lothianbuses.com' identity. This is the east end of the south shed, which faces Annandale Street but is set back from it behind the staff car park on the left (which at some point was expanded with the demolition of a neighbouring industrial building - Bathroom Planet). The south shed was built up against the south side of the older and larger main shed, which is out of shot to the right. The multiple doors at this end is presumably because of the presence of the workshop/inspection pits.
