Description
English: The Loughborough-Patterson House is located at 3039-3041 M Street NW in the Georgetown neighborhood of Washington, D.C. The building on the left (3041, left)) was constructed in 1801 for Treasury Department Chief Clerk Nathan Loughborough. He built the adjoining house (3039, right) in 1806. The buildings were combined in 1926 after being purchased by the Edlows Department Store. The properties were purchased by Assistant Secretary Gordon Gray and donated to the Junior League of Washington in 1960. The buildings are listed on the District of Columbia Inventory of Historic Sites and are contributing properties to the Georgetown Historic District.
