| Description |
English: Looking down the long low-level platform at Ballardvale station in August 2021. This platform is extra wide because the line was originally two tracks through here - when the second track was removed (in the pre-MBTA days) a portion of the former right of way was filled in to expand the platform. The change in platform conditions is noticeable, with the original platform significantly firmer and the extended platform feeling soft and loose. |
