English: Low tide below Blackfriars Bridge Perhaps climate change is responsible, but it's a lovely morning in late December as we look down the River Thames from Platform 1 on Blackfriars station. The nearest bridge seen is the Millennium footbridge, well occupied with pedestrians. Then come Southwark Bridge, Cannon Street railway bridge with the classical station portico, London Bridge and the unmissable Tower Bridge. The Canary Wharf tower is visible in the distance. |
