Description
English: Lowenstrasse 28 in Coburg, the clock tower zoom-in. A school for boys from 1890, build by Julius Martinet in neorenaissance style.
Deitsch: Die Rückertschule wurde 1890 als Knabenschule eingeweiht. Das dreieinhalbgeschossige Schulhaus entstand nach Plänen des Stadtbaumeisters Julius Martinet im Stil der manieristischen Neurenaissance. Ein Walmdach mit Dachreiter, ein aufwendig gestalter Mittelrisalit in der Straßenfront, zwei Treppentürme mit Zwiebelhauben in der Rückfront und Mittelrisalite an Seiten kennzeichnen das Schulhaus der nach Friedrich Rückert bezeichneten Schule.
