  • Dansk: - Våbnet på væggen til venstre er Kardinal Albrech af Brandenburgs. - Til venstre læses følgende indskrift: HERCULEIS MANIBUS DANT LYDAE PENSA PUELLA/ IMPERIUM DOMINAE FERT DEUS ILLE SUAE/ SIC ECIAM INGENTES ANIMOS INSANA VOLUPTAS/ ET DOMITO MOLLIS PECTORE TRANGIT AMOR. Dansk oversættelse (jfr. Madsen 1904): "Herkules faar af de lydiske Piger Rokken i Hænde; villigt en Gud bøjer sig under den Elskedes Aag, viser, at selv den mægtigste Aand, hvem Elskov betvinger, ødes af Vellystens Ild og blødagtig Kærligheds Magt. Tysk oversættelse: "Den Händen des Herkules überlassen die lydischen Mädchen ihre tägliche Spinnarbeit, und der mächitge Gott unterwirftsich der Herrschaft seiner Herrin. So können die stärksten Geister gefesselt werden durch die verderbliche Begierde, und starken Herzen werdenbezwungen durch zarte Liebe" (Gottorf im Glanz des Barock I, kat. 170) I Guy de Terverants oversættelse (i brevarkivet): "Les filles de Lydis mettent aux mains d'Hercule la guenouille/ le dieu abandonne son pouvoir á le femmes/ c'est ainsi que la follevolupté et le facile amour/ en s'emparant du coeur subjuge les grand âmes".
