Description
English: Luís António de Abreu e Lima, count of Carreira (1787-1871) was chamberlain to kings Pedro V and Luis I the of Portugal, State councillor and knight of the Order of Saint Vladimir of Russia. From 1814 till 1815 he served as attaché in the Portuguese diplomatic mission to the Congress of Viena, and from 1817 till 1824 as secretary in the Portuguese diplomatic mission in S. Petersburg, Russia. In 1862 he travelled to the royal court in Turin, Italy to arrange the marriage of D. Luis I to princess Maria Pia of Savoy.
Português: Luís António de Abreu e Lima, conde de Carreira (1787-1871), foi aio e camareiro-mor de D. Pedro V e de D.Luis I, oficial da Casa Real, conselheiro de Estado efectivo e cavaleiro da Ordem de S. Vladimir da Rússia. De 1814 a 1815 serviu como adido na Legação Portuguesa no Congresso de Viena e de 1817 a 1824 como secretário da Legação Portuguesa em S. Petersburgo. Em 1862 foi à Corte de Turim como enviado em missão especial para, em nome de D. Luis I, pedir a mão da princesa Maria Pia, ajustar e assinar o contracto matrimonial.
