Description
English: Lumpy Sandstone The sandstone of Charlie's cliff is peppered, or is that the reverse of peppered, as in that they project, with these lumps. The lumps are about 50mm in diameter and project out around 10-15mm. I would think they stick out because they are more weather resistant but that's just my guess. The sandstone is part of the Strathclyde Group of Carboniferous age.
