| Description |
Near Hood River, Oregon, Rowena Crest is a stunning viewpoint and trailhead along the Historic Columbia River Highway that looks down on Mayer State Park and the Columbia River Gorge. The view includes the iconic Rowena Loops — the horseshoe curves that wind up to the viewpoint, a true engineering marvel. The yellow balsamroot and the purple lupine were in full bloom. My husband is a very patient man, I had him drive me here to shoot these wildflowers and then decided we needed to wait for about 3 hours until the sun was setting for the better light. It's a wonder I am still alive!!! |
