English: Nui Dat, South Vietnam. January 1970. Troops from the 1st Australian Task Force (1ATF) Base crowded the Luscombe Bowl to hear the Army and Australian Forces Overseas Fund sponsored concert party. Julie Lewis, one of two female entertainers, on stage, sings to troops with backing from the ABC Dance Band. The concert party visited the war zone over Christmas and New Year and played to capacity audiences at all its shows. |
