Summary

edit
Description I took this photo because the thick herbaceous ground cover reminded me so much of the Great Smokies or central Canada. However only about three species are present in this shot: Osmorhiza chilensis, Achaena magellanica?, and a little Adenocaulon chilense. The species-poor forest has only one species of tree, no shrubs, and very few herbs. It is, however, made up for in diversity of fungi!
