Par de luvas masculinas médias. Fechadas nos dedos, de tecido de fibra celulósica (sisal?) e malha felpuda de acrílico (?) no forro; metal no botão, na argola e no passador de fivela e elástico do pulso. Corpo/base na cor cáqui, no corpo e no forro, e linha marrom. Decoração: um botão em cada mão, com dois ajustes cada. Dimensões: medida para suporte: 34 x 40 cm; comprimento do polegar: 12 cm; comprimento total do punho: 14 cm; diâmetro superior do punho: 15,5 cm; diâmetro inferior do punho: 10,5 cm.Luvas usadas pelo Dr. Adhemar de Barros no navio "araguaia". Em carta oriunda do gabinete do interventor federal no estado de São Paulo, José Soares de Souza, em outubro de 1940 assim escreveu ao então diretor do Museu Paulista, Afonso de Escragnolle Taunay: "tenho o prazer de lhe enviar, para que figure em alguma das galerias do museu, as luvas com que o senhor interventor federal neste estado, doutor Adhemar de Barros, cravou o primeiro rebite da quilha do contra-torpedeiro "Araguaia", no dia 20 de julho de 1940. Valho - me do ensejo para enviar minhas mais cordeaes saudações."
