Notes Digital image of the original in Amir Cahanovitc Collection, Israel. ACC 1986.; This series of maps was published shortly after the end of the war in Europe, when the RAF was able to concentrate upon the ongoing war in the Far East. They were issued in a series numbered 1-16, which between them covered the entire route between the U.K. and India. The limited print run of only 500 and the surrender of Japan just three months after the defeat of Germany ensured that surviving copies are rarely seen. These examples are from the personal collection of a former RAF officer, who served in the Middle East and North Africa during World War Two.
