| Description |
The light was failing, the Monument Inn was nearby, and oysters on the half shell sounded really really good. The ferry, one route home, had a two boat wait when we got there, but the line left room for us to enter the restaurant's parking lot. The note taped to the door said that they were out of oysters on the half shell. But we were there, and, though the menu ( monumentinn.com/menu.html ) is a bit heavy on the fried, the seafood is fresh, the service good, and the view excellent. When we left, we turned and drove right onto the ferry. |
