Français : Fragments de la météorite L'Aigle, tombée en 1803 en France. Composée de chondrite ordinaire (L6). La météorite porte le nom du village de L'Aigle, en Basse-Normandie, où elle est tombée en avril 1803 en même temps que des milliers d'autres pierres. Le scientifique Jean-Baptiste Biot enquêta pendant dix jours sur cette chute de pierres survenue par temps clair dans une région non volcanique, et conclut que les pierres étaient d'origine extraterrestre. Exposée à Paris à l'occasion de l'exposition "Météorites", dans le bâtiment de la grande galerie de l'Evolution, au Muséum national d'histoire naturelle de Paris (18 octobre 2017 - 10 juin 2018). |
