It is one galaxy of the m51 group.

Visible dans un petit telescope, M63, distante de 37 millions AL, est le premier objet inscrit au catalogue Messier.(14/6/1779). Elle nous présente des bras bleutés illuminés par des jeunes étoiles brillantes, des nébuleuses rouges d'hydrogene ionisé et des nuages de poussiere sous forme de filaments. Elle fait partie du groupe de M51.
