Lima (Perú), 04 de julio de 2024.- Previo a la inauguración del Gabinete Binacional, los mandatarios de Ecuador y Perú mantuvieron una reunión bilateral, corroborando el excelente estado de las relaciones entre ambos países, basadas en los principios de amistad, cooperación y buena vecindad. Esta es la primera ocasión que el presidente Noboa visita Perú para una reunión de este nivel. Durante el encuentro bilateral, se destacó el compromiso común en la lucha y la cooperación en acciones contra la delincuencia organizada transnacional y sus delitos conexos, como la minería ilegal, el contrabando y otros que se cometen en la zona de frontera. Además, se reiteró la importancia del control y el intercambio de información sobre asuntos de seguridad.
