Description
English: This temple is called keshabeswar temple or Banchabra temple. God is Lord shiva.The temple is the biggest Shiva temple of 24 parganas and more than 400 years old.There is a holy tank near the temple Shib Ganga where devotee take bath and pray before lord shiva.Every year "gajan" and "Jhap" is held with pomp in the month of Bengali Baishak in the temple premises. The Zamindar Roy Chowdhury's family of Muragacha,Diamond Harbour are the Shebaits. Debi Prosad Roy Chowdhury an eminent artists of Bengal belong to the family.The Shebaits are now resident of Bhowanipur, Kolkata and well established family of lawyers and religiously carry's on the Seva puja of the deity.
