Italiano: PORTALE GOTICO
Questo portale, che interrompe le mura del Parco, è stato qui ricostruito nella prima metà dell’ottocento con spogli del Duomo di Milano, secondo il gusto dell’epoca.
Concludeva scenograficamente la prospettiva di uno dei viali che collegava la città con la Villa ed il Parco reali.
Il Parco, disegnato da Luigi Canonica, è stato voluto da Napoleone nel 1805 come riserva di caccia e tenuta modello, a completamento della Villa. Ha un’estensione di sette chilometri quadrati ed è interamente circondato da mura che misurano quattordici chilometri. Costituisce uno dei più estesi parchi urbani d’Europa.Licensing
