Description
Français : A Arles (Bouches-du-Rhône, France), au musée départemental de l'Arles antique, chapiteau byzantin en marbre de Proconnèse, de la première moitié du 6e siècle, qui proviendrait de l'ancienne basilique St Etienne à proximité de l'actuelle église St Trophime. A double zone avec treillis arasé inférieur, il porte des protomés de béliers aux angles et, sur les tailloirs, des aigles et des paons alternés.
