UNIFORMS WERE COPIED FROM THAT OF A CIVIL WAR OFFICER IN NEW ULM, 2ND LT RICHARD FISCHER, WHO RETURNED HOME IN TIME FOR THE INDIAN ATTACK AND BECAME THE BATTERY'S FIRST COMMANDER |
