Description
English: As part of MILAN 18, an International Maritime Seminar themed 'In pursuit of Maritime Good Order - Need for Comprehensive Importance Sharing Apparatus' was conducted on 07 March 2018 at Port Blair. The speakers at the seminar deliberated upon various issues to evolve best practices for multilateral cooperation towards strengthening of maritime good order in the Indian Ocean Region. Vice Admiral Bimal Verma, AVSM, ADC, Commander-in-Chief, Andaman and Nicobar Command, delivered the inaugural address at the seminar, which was attended by delegates from 16 participating navies. Vice Admiral Pradeep Chauhan, AVSM & Bar, VSM (Retd), Director National Maritime Foundation delivered the keynote address.
