Description
English: Esta escultura que hoy podemos ver en el Paseig de Santa Madrona (Montjuïc) es obra de Joan Borrell i Nicolau. Originalmente fue parte de la Fuente de la Aurora que estaba en los Jardinets de Gràcia. La fuente de la Aurora fue construida en 1929, pero desmantelada cinco años más tarde porque no era del agrado de los vecinos. Los diversos elementos que formaban parte de la Fuente de la Aurora fueron repartidos en otros lugares de la ciudad: El carro con los caballos fue al Turó Park, las águilas que remataban el conjunto escultórico de la Fuente de la Aurora fueron al zoológico, y Minerva, la escultura de estas imágenes, estuvo un tiempo en el Parque de la Ciudadela, luego la guardaron en el almacén municipal, hasta que en 2003 fue colocada en su actual emplazamiento, una hornacina que fue ocupada por una escultura hecha por la exposición de 1929, que se rompió.
