Description
Deutsch: Am alten Kirchweg zwischen Zöbigker und Cospuden stand die Markkleeberger Friedenseiche, welche auch unter dem Namen „Napoleoneiche“ bekannt war. Aufgrund des Tagesbau musste die Friedenseiche, welche auf ein Alter von 240 Jahre geschätzt wurde, am 17. März 1981 weichen. Ein Teil des Stammes wurde als Denkmal in das Dölitzer Holz gebracht, wo es sich im Arboretum „Markkleeberger Braunkohlewald“ befindet. Interessanterweise befindet sich das Arboretum, obwohl es nach der Stadt Markkleeberg benannt ist, nicht auf dem Stadtgebiet von Markkleeberg, sondern von Leipzig.
