Description
Tableau przedstawiające Zarząd i pracowników zakładów Roberta Schweikerta, wykonane okazji 25–lecia istnienia przedsiębiorstwa. Fryderyk Wilhelm Schweikert przyjechał do Łodzi w 1865 roku. W 1882 roku uruchomił przy ulicy Głównej 18 ręczną tkalnię chustek. W latach 90. XIX wieku Schweikertowie przenieśli produkcję na ulicę Piotrkowską 56, gdzie w 1892 roku uruchomili maszynę parową. W 1893 roku Schweikert kupił nieruchomość przy ulicy Wólczańskiej 215 i rozpoczął produkcję. Robert Teodor Schweikert przejął kierownictwo firmy po śmierci ojca.
