| Description |
English: The lake and the Nature park is in the rural area of Menemen (district) of İzmir Province at an altitude of 850 m. on Yamanlar Mountains to the north of İzmir. Distance to İzmir centrum is 35 km. The lake Karagöl is a small crater lake. The area of the park including the lake is 46.8 acres.
In establishing a Nature Park, the underlying idea is a "protection through usage", so the acceptance and participation of the population in the protection of the cultural landscape and nature is very important.
