Description
English: Sábado 23 de enero de 2021.

Inaugurada en 1952, el Campus Central de la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, es una muestra de la arquitectura, diseño y arte nacional de más de 60 arquitectos, ingenieros y artistas, quienes crearon un conjunto monumental ejemplar del modernismo del siglo XX. Para su construcción el proyecto surgió del trabajo de Mario Pani y Enrique del Moral, profesores de la Escuela Nacional de Arquitectura, quienes ganan el proyecto tomando en cuenta “el croquis en conjunto de tres alumnos, que eran: Enrique Molinar, Armando Franco y Teodoro González de León. El Campus, cuenta además, con abundantes murales y esculturas que se integran perfectamente a los monumentales edificios. Creaciones sobresalientes en este sentido resultan, por ejemplo, los murales de David Alfaro Siqueiros en la Torre de Rectoría, los de Juan O’Gorman en la Biblioteca Central, y los de Diego Rivera en el Estadio Olímpico.
