Description
English: Facing east on M Street, N.W. (at the intersection of M Street and Wisconsin Avenue), in the Georgetown neighborhood of Washington, D.C.


The landmark, former headquarters of Farmers and Mechanics National Bank (left), located at 1201 Wisconsin Avenue, N.W., was designed by architects Marshall and Peter in 1922. The building currently serves as a branch for PNC Bank, following the dissolution of the site's previous owner, Riggs Bank.

All of the buildings pictured are contributing properties to the Georgetown Historic District, a National Historic Landmark, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1967.
