English: Rough translation: This fire pump is of unknown origin, as the article says she was brought there are 4 or 5 years by a stranger. However, it shows a great mastery of the air and water in 1671, and this date coincides with the entry of Denis Papin at the Academy of Sciences in Paris, at the age of 24 years. Operation: Water is thrown with buckets on the surface of the box, and falls through the holes in the bottom. With the two sleeves, the pump is actuated by pulling sends water into a first tank. Pushing the pump, the water can not out thanks to a check valve, the water is sent to a second tank which fills gradually and between pressure because air is trapped. the elasticity of the air in the second tank, maintained by the pump provides a continuous stream, and direct the jet to extinguish fire points. |
