Description

MACON READINESS CENTER, Macon, Ga. Nov. 7, 2014 – Georgia’s National Guard celebrated the homecoming of the 48th Infantry Brigade Combat Team and the opening of the brigade’s $17 million readiness center during a ceremony this Friday.

Macon’s mayor, Robert Reichert, thanked the Volunteer Brigade for their service and the commitment to the Macon-Bibb county community.

“Your recent service builds upon the rich history that has been situated here in Bibb County dating back to 1825” Reichert said. “This team has served with honor ready to defend us locally and abroad and we appreciate your continued service.”
