Summary

edit
Description
English: Maes-y-Betws (Ruin) and Doethie Crossing, Ceredigion. The farm was documented as a thriving settlement at least as early as 1671, which predates the ty unnos (one night house) culture by more than a hundred years. A local historian suggests that Maes-y-Betws was abandoned in the 1920s. The bridleway through the forest is not consistently easy to follow, and the way up edge of the forest is tussocky and boggy. Update July 2010. The forest was felled during 2008 and 2009, and the way through is now easy except in wet weather.
