Partie haute du décor art nouveau du magasin Vaxelaire, situé 13 rue Raugraff, à Nancy.

Ce magasin de vêtements de luxe a été construit en 1899-1901 par l'architecte Charles André (1841-1928). La devanture a été conçue par Emile André (1871-1933) et Eugène Vallin (1856-1922).

Les éléments de décor initialement en bois d'acajou ont été repeints en bleu lors d'un des nombreux réaménagements des lieux.

Note de l'auteur de la photo : les reflets dans les miroirs ne reflètent pas la réalité du quartier composé de maisons très ordinaires. Ils ont fait l'objet d'un montage en vue de mieux mettre en valeur la qualité de ce décor art nouveau d'une grande valeur esthétique.
