| Description | Built in the late 19th Century and early 20th Century, these buildings demonstrate the general character of Downtown Morristown. The buildings are linked to the city's elevated downtown walkways, built in 1967 as an attempt at urban revitalization, which are known collectively as SkyMart. SkyMart had mixed results, and is one of the most unique and controversial aspects of Downtown Morristown. The buildings are contributing structures in the Morristown Main Street Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2016. |
