Créée en 1854, commune des Hautes Cévennes Ardéchoises avec un point culminant à 1412 mètres, Péreyres équilibre parfaitement son espace vital entre le dépaysement total et la civilisation.

En effet, proche d'axes de communication à grande fréquentation, la commune ne se situe qu'à une trentaine de kilomètres d'Aubenas tout en étant irrigué par la Sève du cœur naturel de la Montagne Ardéchoise.

Avec les deux cascades du Ray-Pic, site classé depuis 1931, qui jaillissent d'une coulée basaltique de soixante mètres de haut, le village et ses hameaux aux vieilles maisons de pierres restent une curiosité touristique plein de charme et d'authenticité.

Bon ton myrtille et bon ton soleil, Péreyres fête ce fruit sauvage et 100% naturel, qui lui ressemble si bien.
