Description : La maison impressionne le passant qui doit lever le regard presque à la verticale, des quinze marches aux grandes portes, puis à l'étage, et enfin, à la corniche du toit faux mansard, pour bien la contempler. Elle est à la fois anglaise et française, élevée dans un style Second Empire tardif, truffé d'éléments typiquement anglais. Son toit, ses cheminées Renaissance et ses détails ornementaux relèvent de la tradition française alors que l'oriel, la simplicité du décor ainsi que la forme générale de la maison sont anglais.
