Français : Ces bulles de béton, dont il resterait quelque 200 exemplaires à Dakar, sont nées de l’imagination de l’architecte Wallace Neff. Plus connu pour avoir dessiné les villas de célébrités de Hollywood, il met au point en 1946 un procédé inédit. Avec sa technique brevetée dite « Airform », le Californien veut créer un habitat moderne à bas coût, face à la pénurie de logements après la Seconde Guerre mondiale. Un socle de béton, un ballon gonflable sur lequel sont projetées plusieurs couches de béton et d’isolation, l’ensemble achevé en deux jours seulement
