Description
Majoor-generaal Sir Allan Adair, commandant van de Guards Armoured Division, die een belangrijke rol speelde in de bevijding van Nijmegen op bezoek in Nijmegen, waar hij werd ontvangen door burgemeester en wethouders in de Trèveszaal van het stadhuis. Burgermeester Hustinx overhandigd hem en en zijn gevolg, na een toespraak, een fotoboek over Nijmegen. Ook aanwezig was de kunstschilder Antoon Vijftigschild, die generaal Adair in oktober1944 op zijn hoofdkwartier, de weesinrichting Neerbosch, portretteerde.
